A bowl of curried noodles is meals for the soul and nothing beats the Burmese khausuey. And you may fire up this goodness bowl at house because of burmaburmaindia – arms down my favourite restaurant on the town for sharing the genuine khausuey recipe straight from Myanmar. We simply added few twists in our model of cooking up this scrumptious meal.

For the curry
Coconut milk – 750 ml
Ginger – 1tbsp
Garlic – 1 tbsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Inexperienced chilli – 2 to three nos
Tamarind pulp – 1 tbsp
Gram flour – 1/2 tbsp
Onion – 1/2 med dimension
Black pepper – 6 no’s
Oil – 1 1/2 tbsp
Sugar – 1/Four tsp
Salt – as req
Water – 300 ml

For the topping:
Fried onion, brown garlic, crushed peanut , chilli garlic oil , lemon wedges and boiled noodles

Methodology:
Warmth oil in a pan. Add within the sliced onion , black peppercorns , ginger & garlic paste, inexperienced chilly & turmeric. Sauté for some time and funky down. Grind it right into a paste.

In a seperate pan add gramflour and prepare dinner nicely for 3-Four minutes until it browns. Add the paste and blend nicely for couple of minutes.

Slowly add water to the combination and maintain stirring, in order that it does not type lumps. Simmer for a couple of minutes & add within the coconut milk. Stir nicely after including the milk & permit it to boil.
Add the tamarind pulp.

You may saute greens like broccoli , carrot, child corn in mild soy sauce and a pinch of turmeric in a seperate pan and add it to the curry bowl.

Serve with boiled noodles in a bowl – I exploit wheat noodles.
